Apple iPhone 5S price dips below Rs 35,000 in India

 iPhone 5S, the top Apple smartphone last year, is now available in India for less than Rs 35,000 on e-commerce websites. The unofficial price drop comes soon after Apple announced the big-screen iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The gold coloured variants of iPhone 5S 16GB can be purchased for Rs 34,850 on Flipkart as well Amazon.in. However, the black and silver coloured variants with the same model cost approximately Rs 37,000 on the two e-commerce websites.

Last year, the gold coloured iPhone 5S was the most sought after variant of the smartphone, with stocks running out as soon as they hit the market.

The 16GB iPhone 5S was launched last year at Rs 53,500, while the 32GB and 64GB variants were priced at Rs 62,500 and Rs 71,500, respectively. While announcing iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple said that it is discontinuing the 64GB model, but retaining the other two variants.
